When starting, Captain John says he will talk with you after all your tasks completed, what means you will need to go back to the starting point. There is this agent that will follow you and you should get his help with the wolves. I didn't need any wolf bait here.
What about the dog?
If you bought the dog from the ex-seller dogs Mercenary, you should place it in the base camp and he can be harvested 1 time per day. I bought it to add the information here, otherwise, by the reward I would cry. This is one more disappointment in this map.

Spider bait worked on the spiders for me. Perhaps it was a glitch that got worked out.
